All the talk about going back to school or school for the first time reminded me of one of my elementary school adventures. Pictured here is my second grade class on September 26, 1949. We traveled to Andover from Jefferson on a train. How exciting. It was a very special day for me because my father, the Superintendent of the Jefferson Schools, went with us.
As I look at the picture we appear to be trying out for parts in Our Gang Comedy movies.
